BMW 5-Series F10 (2011-2016)

The BMW 5-Series F10 is the sixth (6th) generation of the BMW 5-series sedan, available in the years 2011 through 2016. The F10 chassis has the classic 4-door sedan style. Innovations include the first hybrid drivetrain on a 5-series with the F10, the "Black Panel Display" LCD instrument cluster and the introduction of the automatic Parking Assistant. Initially designed by Jacek Frohlich with the Touring version later designed by Jean-Francois Alexandre Huet, this 5-series BMW marked a return to more traditional styling following its E60 predecessor, with a noted difference of the center console angling towards the driver, and handsome, robust proportions that reminded some of the E90 3-series and even the 7-series sedans. In 2012, BMW ConnectedDrive debuted with automations such as real-time traffic. The 2014 F10 featured a facelift with new LED headlights, the 518d model and upgraded power to the 550i engine. The 5-series F10 was eventually followed by the 7th generation BMW 5-series G30.

Fun fact: The 5-Series is BMW's second best-selling model, just after its popular 3-Series BMW.
