Older cars are notorious for electrical problems and most of them can be traced to the wiring harness. A wiring harness is a series or bundle of wires used to send electronic signals to and from electrical devices. They are usually wrapped in tape, conduit or cable ties. They get old, dry and brittle. If you are having problems it is best to replace whole sections of the harness rather than individual wires.
